Nat Snaps Joins Canterbury Pride 2025!

This year at Pride in Canterbury, I had the joy and the privilege of setting up my professional photography studio, right in the heart of the festivities. What started as a fun idea to capture some smiles, quickly turned into something much deeper; a space for connection, self-expression, and visible pride.

Under a 4 x 3m marquee, I rolled out a full studio setup – the same lights and modifiers used for corporate branding, and family shoots- plus a gorgeous blue backdrop that made every outfit (and every rainbow) pop.

As an experienced professional, I understand that photography is deeply personal, and that people want different outcomes from their sessions. For Canterbury Pride it was important for me to offer an experience that was completely inclusive to every customer’s wishes.

Some guests came looking for polished, professional business headshots – images they could use for LinkedIn profiles, corporate identification, or personal branding. Others were there to have fun, to celebrate the moment with friends, and to embrace the joy and colour of Pride through playful props.

I designed my booth to honour both of these needs. With a professional studio setup, expert lighting, and posing guidance, guests could experience a professional grade photo shoot at incredible prices.

At its heart, this approach reflects my wider philosophy – photography should be as multifaceted as the people in front of the camera. Everyone is completely unique and it’s important to express that in all imagery depicting them. Each session should be completely tailored to each individual client; this is something that I proudly implement into all of my photography sessions.

Overall, Canterbury Pride was an incredible experience for both myself and my business as a whole. I had a fantastic time photographing all the lovely festival goers and the feedback on my work was overwhelmingly positive – I’ll see you next year Canterbury Pride!
